Detox is the first step to ending an addiction to painkillers. Painkiller addictions and addictions to other prescription medications are a severe problem. Sometimes the only thing that might give a user the idea that they had an addiction problem is missing a dose and then experiencing withdrawal symptoms, as with a detox it is likely that a user will face some of these symptoms, these could be similar to the illness experienced with the flu, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue and appetite changes.
Some users can detox without some kind of medical supervision, however due to the withdrawal symptoms it is not something we would usually recommend, especially if there are any other legitimate medications or illnesses to be taken into account.
